  1. I had stage 3A adenocarcinoma ten years ago. I had weekly chemo for six weeks concurrent with daily radiation. I had surgery to remove to top lobe of my right lung. That was followed up with adjuvant chemo to kill any possible microscopic cancer cells that are not visible on scans. I was afraid of chemo but it was doable even though I lost my hair, but it did grow back. I hope my information is helpful to you.

    Good news!

I had my follow up scan yesterday and my oncologist sent me an email this morning to let me know the results were good. The nodule in my left upper lobe appears to be inflammation. I had to wait six months to have this scan to see if it had grown. I am so grateful to God. I am grateful also to those of you for having my back. Thank you!!! Carol

  8. Yes Mike do get it checked out. Most likely it is a pain that has nothing to do with cancer and once you find out that it does not, you will have peace of mind. I have been through this many times. Carol
  9. Thank you all! You are right Kasey. My surgery was July 1, 2005. A girl does not need to make herself to old too fast. Thanks again, I corrected the post. Carol
  10. I met someone here years ago who claimed their surgery date as their second birthday because they had been NED since. Well today July 1st, I proclaim as my second birthday. 12. The importance is to be able to talk to others who have been there and done that. They understand because they have lived it or are the caregiver of someone who has lived it. The importance is getting answers to the questions that you do not even know to ask, and learning to ask questions of your health professionals that NEED to be asked, being told what test are coming up and what treatments are available and how they feel. The importance is the support that you get here and the importance is to help and support someone else. The importance is being able to read the signatures and realize
