ztweb Posted July 14, 2006 Share Posted July 14, 2006 NO WAY! I am way too much of a soft heart. If I were a politician though, I would work on my button issue....education. I teach in the state where we are the lowest paid in the nation...I am now at the University, where I have to teach future teachers not to think about the paycheck! Obviously one does not do it for the paycheck, but it would be nice to get paid a little more. The old addage of 8-3:30, summers off, blah, blah, blah certainly never applied in my house!!! My husband use to bring me dinner at 7 at night in my classroom!!! We are the career that creates all others...doesn't it seem we need more funding?
