Robb676
I have a pancoast tumor and the pain in my shoulder is getting worse, On the pain scale I have been giving it a 5 to all the Drs. I am in the process of scheduling a lobectomy with the thoracic surgeon this week My radiation Oncologist told me to see my primary care physician for pain meds. My chemo Oncologist told me to see my primary care physician for pain meds. And my Thoracic Surgeon told me to see my primary care physician for pain meds also. Being as I rarely see my primary care Dr. and have to make an appt why wont one of the other Drs give me pain med? They keep referring me to my PPC. LexieCat
No clue, did you ask them? I'd explain what your issue is and I'll bet they can write the script.

Susan Cornett
It could be that they want to ensure pain med scripts are coming from one physician - your primary physician - to attempt to avoid prescription abuse. We;re starting to see states pass legislation that holds the prescribing physicians accountable.
