I was a primary caregiver to my step-dad, and I still have the drive to help Steve, take care of him, make things comfortable for him... you don't just stop having those feelings when the need for your help is gone. My sister & I have learned through the past year that we can count on one another for support, and that is something to be truly grateful for.
