Great news!

From your description, I would say your dad is now Stage IV. There are many survivors at that stage, so take heart. Don't know anything about Tarceva. Don

So sorry. Wishing for the best treatment for you. Don

A good friend gave me a book on grief and one chapter is entitled "You did the best you could". I believe that, and hope you will come to believe it also. Don

Your dad has metastatic lung cancer, so it would be considered terminal and should be qualified. As others have said, it doesn't say when terminal, nor can anyone including doctors say for an individual. Don

Welcome, Mitchell. Wishing your mom the best outcome. Don

Great news! That combination also helped my wife. Don

My opinion is -- let go. What ifs aren't going to help your mom now and will just prolong your own agony. Don

The pain should be managed and those specific tumors that are causing bone pain should be considered for radiation. Don

You are truly blessed, brother Joe! Don

Four Letter Word? "RATS", right?

Congratulations, Mike! Awesome! Don

As my grandson would say, "Awesome!"

Glad to hear the good news, Trish. All's well that ends well. Very sorry about your dad and glad you didn't have two losses at once. Don

My heartfelt sympathies at the loss of your daughter. I am so so sorry. Setting up a foundation is a wonderful thing in her memory. Don

Ellie, my heartfelt sympathies at the loss of your sister. You have many memories to comfort you in the years ahead. We can go on -- I have lost both parents, my sister, my brother and my wife over the years, and still manage because of the support of my Lord and the many people in my life. You can go on, too. I pray you peace. Don

Always a good source of humor. Chuckle! Don

Thanks for the update on Tony, Welthy. I think once Tony gets the port, he will like it. Lucie had hers for 3 years and it saved a lot of pain finding veins. Lucie had good results with Navelbine, so I hope Tony does also. Don

Thank you, Kathleen, for remembering. Glad to see you posting. Blessings. Don

Hi, Chrissy! Thanks for the update. Sounds promising. Don
