  1. Very happy for you, Ann. I had wondered why your daily questions were missing.

We got through Thanksgiving okay and are now bracing for Christmas. I have most of my shopping done (online and things I have found around the house!). I continue in a grief support group, which has helped. Keeping an eye on my three kids and their coping. Had my grandson for a day (college freshman) before Thanksgiving, and we went to see casino Royale (very good). Don

  2. Generally, they can only radiate an area once because of damage to the general area. So usually radiologists will not radiate bone mets unless there is severe pain or threat to the bone integrity. They usually rely on chemo to diminish the bone mets in those cases.

My wife had many bone mets, and the general rule was followed with her. She also took Zometa once a month to strengthen bones and help prevent bone mets.

I don't know anything about your second question. Don

  3. You dad sounds like an excellent candidate for the port. I also was under the impression there were more "fer" ports than "agin". My wife had one for 4 years and was very appreciative of it. You do have to be sure it doesn't get infected, though. A saline/heparin wash should be done after every use and once a month if there is no activity. Good luck. Don

  4. Not a problem for me, Bill. I was amused, reading through your posts, knowing that eventually you were going to get it right. Look at it this way -- you won't soon forget Don and Lucie. Welcome, my friend, and I look forward to your posts. Don
