  1. Thank you so much!

Yes, Kasey, my job keeps my busy and by the time I get home I'm too tired to get on here and have way too much to do around the house as well! :( Thank you for asking!

But I think of you all everyday, and daily lift up the needs of everyone on this board! God knows who you are! :)

Mom just called and said the ct and xray look fine. He just sees some scar tissue, but nothing new! Praise GOD!! He said her cancer marker is down from 78 to 16!!! whooohoooo!!

His only concern was that she had lost six lbs and hadn't gained it back yet, but something that she was taking was makeing her stomach upset for a while.

He wants to see her back in six weeks to ck the weight.

Thank you all for the prayers!

And remember I'm holding you all up in prayer, even if you don't see me on here much anymore!!

    Love to you all,

    Christy

  2. It's hard to believe that it's been a year this month since we've been fighting this beast again. :(

A whole year my beautiful mom has been going through treatments, chemos and raditaion.

Please keep her in your prayers. God is still on the throne and He is our healer.

    thank you

Then, my husband had bought me a cake and ice cream and a new purse! :) Doesn't get any better than that!

    So, thanks again!!

  5. Thank you all so much. The prayers are working!

We went to the funeral home today. He looks so different. :( My cousin Darren kept holding his hand and saying 'I love you daddy' (He's 37, he's so tore up...:( ) It was sad beyond words.

    Funeral is tomorrow.

    Thank you all so much

  6. My dad called me early this morning. Don't you just hate those early morning calls when you know you're about to get some terrible news?:(

His brother had a massive heart attack last night and died. He was on his way home from a ball game with his grandson Dillion, who is eleven years old.

I don't have any details yet. Poor Dillion has seen enough in his short life, so please pray for this child's mind and for peace as well. (his papaw was like his daddy.) And of course for the whole family. My dad has one more brother and two sisters.

My dad and his brother are meeting at my elderly grandparents this morning to give them this devastating news. We never expect to bury a child. This will be so hard for them.

So, I'm taking the day off work to take my mom to chemo and radiation.

Please keep my mom in your prayers too. This

radiation everyday, well, five days a week, is wearing them out. Not to mention the pain from the shot for boosting the white cells, and the throat pain from radiation. God continues to be faithful.

    (I finally updated my profile.)

    God bless you all.

  7. thank ya'll!

    It is exciting isn't it?!

My mom was asking the cancer treatment center (of America) the other day if they were going to do something this month for lung cancer. They told her

they didn't have anything planned because they tried in the past and didn't have a good response because of the terrible stigma attached to it.

How sad is this?? :( It makes me ill.

I'd love to do something, but not sure what?

  8. Praise God! That is just beautiful. What a blessing for your family and at a perfect timing.

    Thanks for sharing with us.

I have a similar story happening in my own home

right now.. Maybe I'll be able to share a happy outcome as this soon!
