  1. My mom needs some relief from this stuff! She said it just feels really rough (face and neck), like sand paper, very dry and itchy (sometimes a burning itch). Any recommendations? Did over the counter lotions help anyone? or maybe someone has tried something natural from the health food store??

    Thank you sooo much!

    God bless,

    Christy

  2. I too would have to go with my flip flops, or thongs, as I used to call them, until everyone thought I was talking about panties!

    I have several pairs, different styles and colors. I just LOVE my flip flops; maybe it's the barefoot thing and childhood, playing in the yard, being carefree.... :)

  4. welcome Jamie! It's wonderful that you're so positive! It'll help you more than you know!

    God is good and has a plan for each of us here, and our loved ones too. Keep the faith!

    and I'm so happy you get to stay home with your little boy and that you're able to see the positive side of this and the blessings that Lord has given us that we take for granted so often!

    God bless you!

  5. We're taking the kids to Walt Disney World!

    It's gonna be a loooooong drive... (21 hours or so!!)

    But, we have the dvd player hooked up, and lots of things for the kids to do and play with.

    They're at the perfect ages to really enjoy this vacation. (we each have a 13 year old daughter, and have 7 and 8 year old boys together.)

    I told my mom I hated leaving her on the day she starts this Tarceva, but she said, 'honey, you know I'm in the Lord's hands and I'm going to be fine. I love you, don't worry about me and have fun!'

    I love my momma so much.

    Please pray for us to have a safe trip. (and as always, for my mom too!) :)

    see ya in a week or so,

    Christy

  6. Thank you all so much!

    Mom got the tarceva and starts it tomorrow.

    She's not feeling very well right now. We thought it was just allergies or a cold, but the onc thinks it might be part of the cancer. (she's coughing and not breathing well.) We didn't actually get to talk to the onc, because we have to go through a case worker over the phone, but he told her to go ahead and start taking this tarceva. She's taking an antibiotic and it's not helping. So... please continue to keep her in your prayers.

    thank you!

    Christy

  7. Mom is getting help paying for the Tarceva. Praise God!

    Could you please keep her in your prayers, that this works well for her?

    thank you so much,

    Christy

  8. Sing joyfully to the Lord, you

    righteous;

    it is fitting for the uprigth to praise Him.

    Praise the Lord with the harp;

    make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.

    Sing to Him a new song;

    play skillfully, and shout for joy!

    For the word of the Lord is right and true;

    He is faithful in all He does.

    The Lord loves righteousness and justice;

    the earth is full of His unfailing love.

    Psalm 33:1-5
