  1. Wow, great question!

I love all kinds of music. My radio of choice is a Contemporary Christian station, and I love Big Daddy Weave and Todd Agnew, Casting Crowns, and Third Day.

But, I alwos LOVE Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, Billy Joel, Blondie.... a lot of classic rock, and 80's rock is da bomb. :) hehe

Also, like some country... and classical..

When we went to San Antonio last year I fell in love with the music of those guys playing on the Riverwalk! Then I got into the Indian Flute with Carlos Nikai. Beautiuful music!!

Music is such a gift from God. :)

  2. You've GOT to watch What About Bob? I just love that movie, it's hilarious! love bill murray!

We just watched Napoleon Dynamite last week and laughed our heads off! but I think you have to have just the 'right sense of humor' for that one. Not everyone gets it. My parents watched it, and while they occasionaly laughed.... we just couldn't STOP laughing. And now, we can't stop quoting the movie lines! :)

have an absolutely WONDERFUL weekend with Mom. :)

and don't forget to tell us what you watch!

  3. WOW, ya'll are just awesome! :)

I can't thank you enough for your kind words of encouragment! They've helped more than you'll ever know. I thank God for this site and all of you beautiful people!

I think I'm going to really like it.

I have the 'blue' room. It's decorated in fish, ocean stuff. The kids are very sweet. It'll take me a little while to get into the routine, but I feel it'll all work out.

I must admit, I'm not used to having to be so firm with other people's kids; I tend to want to be all soft spoken & more playful... I pray I can become the 'teacher type' and get them to mind me!

THAT would be my prayer request! :)

    Thank you!

    Christy

  4. Thank ya'll so much.

I have a bit of an update.

The rad onc wants to do radiation 20 minutes a day, five days a week, for four weeks. The tomotherapy, while it does pinpoint the areas, the doc says it has somewhat of a 'starburst' affect, therefor, it will overlap some of the area that was radiated last time. :( He said in rare instances people have burst an artery and died from this. Also, that it could cause chronic pain the future.

So, she's not quite sure she wants to do this. I think she will because she's a fighter, but that is a lot to think about. She will see her onc again on monday and talk about more chemo as well.

Please just keep her in your prayers. (also about this decision she has to make.)

    Love,

    Christy

  5. Christy,

I am confused. I didn't think you could have radiation in the same area twice.

    GOD BLESS!!

    Jamie

    Hi Jamie!

Well, it won't be exactly the same place, and this new radiation pin points it, to whereas the other one got the whole area. We'll find out more tomorrow though! (the last time was in the lung, this is specific lymph nodes.)

Thank you all sooo very much for the concern, prayers, and kind words! What would I do without ya'll and this wonderful place?!

    God Bless,

    Christy

  6. At my church preschool!!

This is such a step of faith for me, waaaaay outa my comfort zone! (I'm a stay at home, keep to myself kind of person..) But, the need for some extra income, plus knowing the Lord wants to use me...has gotten me outa my little box. lol

so, if ya could, say a prayer for me!

I go tomorrow to hang out and learn the ropes! :)

    God Bless,

    Christy

  7. She had a PET on Monday. The same three place (lymphs) are still lit up in the chest area on the PET and the cancer marker has continued to go up, so the Tarceva, while it may have kept it stable, isn't working the way the doc wants it to. He wants her to talk to her radiology doc tomorrow. So, she may have to get radiation. :( but they've come a long way since the last time she had it. Now they have that tomotherapy, where they can pinpoint the areas that need radiation. Also, he said he'll probably try a different chemo as well.

So, please continue to keep her in your prayers, please. The Lord continues to work in her. She doesn't look or act a bit sick, Praise God she feels good and is otherwise healthy!! :)

  8. Ok, my favorite was when mom made me a clown suit, she did such a good job on it! half pink polka dots, half blue polka dots, and I had the multi colored curly wig, and the make up. :)

Then, in sixth grade I was Boy George!!!

I had big baggy colorful shirt, the makeup, hat...

I can't believe I liked him so much back then...lol

    He's a mess...

  9. I'm praying for you Cindi. I know you must be very anxious about this, especially with it being the weekend and all! :( It's so frustrating, playing the waiting game.

    ((hugs)) and prayers for you!

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6
