  1. Don, I'm so sorry to hear this about Lucie. You both are in our prayers. Fred
  2. Hi Connie B, Congrats on your stable nodule. Isn't it great to hear STABLE! Fred
  3. Although I posted earlier in another forum about my stable nodules I thought I should add my nodule report to this forum for those who only check nodule updates. Had a spiral CT scan on July 31 due to recently being diagnosed with prostate cancer. Was not scheduled for a scan until October but PC moved it up. Nodules are still stable and they only mentioned 2 nodules again. So assuming the third nodule in earlier reports has disappeared. This makes one year for stable nodules. Next scan is scheduled for January 2007. Fred
  4. Had my 6 month follow-up scan for my 3 nodules. Results - stable with no new nodules found . Finally some good news for Kasey and me. However, (there always seems to be a however with these local doctors) after picking up a copy of the report this afternoon we found only two of my nodules were mentioned. Now do we assume the third nodule was stable - or even DISAPPEARED ? Will need to follow-up tomorrow on that . Thanks to everyone who had me in their thoughts and prayers for a good outcome. Fred
  5. Frustration that I cannot "fix it" for Kasey. Unable to take away the fear we now live with.
  6. My nodule "journey" started with my regular physical in July 2005. As Kasey's caregiver we wanted "peace of mind" that I was okay so I requested a spiral CT. As you can see from my bio three nodules were found. My next scan is due in April. Fred

    I'm Back, and I'm...

Hi S.T., I want to join all the friends on this site in congratulating you for a GREAT report. You do give hope to a lot of people. We WILL celebrate and in our usual way. Love you, Your DH and M.T.
  8. This is Kasey's DH. Thank you Connie for starting this thread. Yes I have nodules. Found the suckers during my physical in July as my bio describes. With what Kasey has gone through I asked for a CT scan "just to be sure" I was okay. Finding out that you have nodules is very scary. BUT, I refuse to let these nodules control my life. I try not to think about them all the time. Unfortunately Kasey worries about my nodules quite a lot and from what she knows and has been through I can understand her worry. I hate that I am the cause of more worry for her. I'm almost sorry I asked for the scan now that I see how she worries. But early detection is supposed to be good, right? Kasey tells me now that I'm old I talk too much and tend to ramble so will stop now. But I plan to visit often and hopefully give support as well as receive it. BTW, Kasey loves you all as I do for the help you have given her. Fred
  9. Hi All, It's been some time since I last posted. But for this occasion I felt I needed to get Kasey off the computer so I have a chance to speak to you all. On this date one year ago she was told she had lung cancer. Without this website and all of you she would not be here today. How can I thank you folks enough for all your support and information this past year? I KNOW - some want chocolate, others would like a Bud Lite, etc. but I just want to give a very heartfelt thanks to everyone. DH - Fred
  10. Thanks every one for the warm welcome. It's easy to see why Kasey visits this site so often. Not only did it save her life, but it is full of so many wonderful people. We appreciate all the help you offer, and I'm grateful for the friendship all of you have extended to my wife. Fred
  11. I'm not really a new person to this site since I watch over Kasey's shoulder all the time as she navigates through this wonderful site for comfort and help and also gives some help. However, I felt I needed my own "handle" and sign-in so I could express to you all my deep gratitude for what you have done for Kasey. This site has saved her life. This site allowed her to be with me beyond the time the original doctors gave her. How can I ever thank you enough. As her caregiver and going through the emotional roller coaster of this dreaded disease with her we have come to love each other more and appreciate the time we have together more than ever. You all are wonderful inspirational people, many with major health problems, yet still take the time to help others. May God bless and watch over us all. Fred
