  1. I have joint pain when I get up in the morning and sometimes when I have ben sitting for a while. I find that my skin is very sensitive to touch, cold weather, chemicals (lotion, alcohol, soaps) The bone on the inside of my elbow of both arms hurt to the touch. In all honesty, I don't know what's from chemo or what's from Tarceva.

    GOD BLESS!!

  2. What an awesome trip!!! Besides meeting three of the most wonderful people I have ever met (Bunny, Joanie and Alisa) we had a great time. The press conference went better than great. Journalists from Elle, People, Prevention, Ladies Home Journal and about 8 others were in attendance. I got to tell my story and promote lung cancer awareness. I was told that nothing would be in print for about six months, most likely during lung cancer awareness month. They are supposed to contact me via phone for any other information they may need. I also met Dr. Julie Brahmer from Johns Hopkins (oncologist) and was she ever impressive. She is brilliant!!! She is also a member of WALC and very vocal about lung cancer. We had so,so much fun and I won't ever forget those cab rides. It's nice to be back home with some peace and quiet. I will be adding pics later after I figure out how. For now, I can't wait to see what happens next!!!

    LOVE YA'LL

  3. The trip is in 2 weeks. We leave Memphis on April 26th and return the 29th. I would absolutely love to have lunch with everyone. The 28th would probably be the best day. Where would ya'll like to meet and when? You pick and choose.

Also, my hubby and I love Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Greek, steaks, ribs, fish but not Indian --we are not too picky. We really, really, really like Italian.

Hope to see all of you soon!!

    GOD BLESS!!

  4. I have some very exciting news. The pharmaceutical that makes the cancer drug that I am currently taking (Tarceva) is sending my hubby and I to New York to interview with various journalists from different women's magazines. The press conference will be held at the Waldorf. We will be staying at The "W" right across the road. Basically, all I have to do is tell my story!! I am so excited because this is a great opportunity to promote awareness with lung cancer. We have a friend that can get us tickets to a broadway show. We may do that. I have never been to New York but I have always wanted to go. If any of you have ever been, give me some sight seeing suggestions.

    GOD BLESS!!

  5. ATTITUDE gets you thru a lot of life. Let me tell you when it is good.

There once was a woman who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, And noticed she had only three hairs on her head.

"Well," she said, "I think I'll braid my hair today." So she did and She had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had Only two hairs on her head.

"HMM, " she said, "I think I'll part my hair down the middle today." So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had Only one hair on her head.

"Well," she said, "today I'm going to wear my hair in a pony tail." So She did and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there Wasn't a single hair on her head.

"YEAH!" she exclaimed, "I don't have to fix my hair today!"

    Attitude is everything.
