  1. My father has been on Tarceva for about a month now. Although he hasn't complained of nausea, he has the Tarceva rash. He also has no appetite and has lost weight. I haven't read posts where people complain about lack of appetite from Tarceva and wonder if any of you have experienced this. Also are any of you anemic from Tarceva or is that just coincidence for my Dad?

    Thanks.

  2. Uncle Doug

Great to hear from you although I'm sorry to hear about your friend and less than stellar scans. But the Alaska cruise, probably my favorite holiday. Relentless eating and more eating, what could be better? And a look at those beautiful galciers too; they make amazing sounds when the calve. Done the cruise twice and saving my money to do it again. Can get a bit cool this time of year in Alaska so take some woolies.

Enjoy and looking forward to your journal update.

  3. Hoping your mom and dad feel as comfortable as they can with the extended care facility. Sounds like a good idea for all involved to let your mom get her rest and her strength back.

Will continue prayers for your mom.

  4. Oh, darn it, Fay. These setbacks! Was hoping you'd have your surgery on Monday, get things fixed up and be as good as new. I know it's discouraging to have these setbacks but that's what they are --setbacks and just temporary. Once you get your strength back and are better able to withstand surgery, you'll get done what needs to be done.

    Continuing many prayers for you.

  5. Pat and Brian--

So sorry to hear about Brian and his low counts. It can be very discouraging esp. when you're geared up for that chemo to keep on fighting. Hopefully, Brian's counts will be up soon and he will whip that beast.

You and Brian remain in my thoughts and prayers.

  6. Denise,

You did have a wonderful, loving relationship with your mom which you will always treasure. You will forever miss your mom but it does get easier ---although not a day goes by that I don't think of my mom.

I will be thinking of you on Sunday and will say an extra prayer for you and your family.
