Thank you for sharing Lucie with us. I feel like I knew her well and will miss that very courageous lady. She was one heck of a fighter and an inspiration to many.

Ginny,
Try not to worry too much. I went through this last year and remember them sending me a letter saying that 94% of the time it was NOTHIING!
Enjoy that vacation and I won't forget to send prayers!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've followed your mom's brave fight for a long time. You were a wonderful daughter who was always by her side. You will always have great memories of your mom.

Kasey,
Have a wonderful week at the beach. I will certainly send tons of prayers for good clean scans. As for Fred, don't ya worry. We'll keep our eyes open. He won't get away with anything, nothing.
Have a great time.

Sounds like Lucie is fighting this, which comes as no surprise. Will keep a steady stream of prayers flowing to her.

I know that many people keep their platelets up with that Rituxan and hoping hard you're added to their ranks. Now off to fight (and win) that other beast.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Don,
Just got on the website and went to look for good news for Lucie. I'm so sorry that things haven't improved for her. I will continue to keep Lucie in my thoughts and prayers. As for you, I so totally agree with others -- reverse roles and let your children be "there" for you. I'm sure they want the opportunity.

I was on my way to work when I heard that the FAA had grounded all flights. For a moment, I thought there was some sort of catastrophic radar failure. Then I heard about the Twin Towers. i immediately wondered if my brother and his son were safe cause my brother works in the vicinity and my nephew goes to school near there. Here I was in B.C. Tried calling my father repeatedly to check up on my relatives when I got to work but couldn't get through. Then the kids were coming to school. So I asked my husband to keep calling and he called me a while later and told me they were okay. My brother was on his way to a meeting a couple of blocks from the Twwin Towers and had just come up from a subway to see people racing -the other way -- and hearing police tellling people to get out of the city. My nephew actually saw people jumping from the Twin Towers. Needless to say, he had some heavy emotions to deal with for awhile. A couple of years later, he was interviewed on Dateline about his experience. So there's my story of Sept. 11th. Was I glad to get home that day!

What a lovely post about your very special sister. Sounds like you're pretty priceless yourself. What a beautiful relationship the two of you had. I'm sorry for your pain though but glad for your wonderful memories.
