I missed your post the first time but I am so glad you decided to fight. I was dx with IIIA and that was over 4 1/2 years ago. I had positive lymph nodes in the middle of my chest as well. I hope and pray that this first line treatment is the ticket, but if you need more...don't hesitate. Many here have led very active happy lives as they are treated. Best wishes to you.

My name is Nina...pronouced 9ah. Not NEENA. I can understand how someone can read it and mistake the pronunciation, but after I tell them 10 times it gets on my nerves.

I take lipitor. I have high cholesterol so that is the reason. I was on it about 2 years before dx but lc runs in my family. It may have kept it from being out of hand before we found it.

Of course we understand. I never got use to it when it happened to me, I just refused to look in the mirror. Just keep telling yourself...it will grow back and its killing any of those stupid cancer cells that may think they can hang on in your body. Hope the nausea doesn't get to you this time. Want to use my wig?

Most of you know that I am still here but never posted to this thread. I just forgot to do it. Anyway I am 4 1/2 years since surgery and 4 years since any treatment. My oncologist dismissed me. I love all of you and want to congratulate all of the other LC survivors. Connie does a wonderful job.

It doesn't seem possible that it has been 3 years since you were keeping us posted on the Duke. I am so glad you have stayed with us. You mean the world to many of us Ginny. Keep on living life to the fullest and hit that ball one time off the tee for me.

There are plenty of good things to concentrate on. One of those is the fact that he is tolerating chemo much better. Now, we just have to pray it works big time and that the next scan will be better.
