  1. Nancy,

I was glad to see your name next to a post. Not happy with what it said, but you have been so brave and fought the good fight for so long there is no doubt in my mine that you will win this one too. Congratulations on your son's engagement.

As for prayers you certainly have mine. I think of you often and have wondered how you were doing. Now I know exactly what to pray for.

  2. Ry and John,

I hope you feel better soon John. Let us know what they say about the abnormal cells. I use an inhaler called combivent that helps me quite a bit. I have also used advair. Hope yours works for you.

  3. Debi,

He does sound like he knows what he is talking about. I am so glad he gave you good news that it is gone. My doctor said the same thing, that after this long he thinks it is gone for good. I trust him and hope you can feel a big sense of relief.

I hope your "new" life is going well and that your stress level is down. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

  5. I can't answer your questions but I can tell you that even with lung cancer you can get sick from other things. Try to think positive thoughts. Best of luck with your GI test and hopefully they will find it is GERDS or something else that medicine can reverse.

Just wanted to say welcome to the site.

  6. Aaron,

It sounds like you just keep getting bad news. It isn't fair but such is life I'm afraid. Get on the cisplatin asap and I'll continue to pray that all goes well. Is there any way to do both? Radiation and cisplatin? Eyeballs are pretty important. Are you having bad headaches as well?

I think of you and Julia very often and hope you get some good news soon.

  7. Aaron,

I am sorry you got the news that you did. Keeping every digit crossed that the cisplatin does the job and that you don't have such horrible side effects this time.

Next time you are on the puter with a little extra time go to youtube.com and type in "trumpet lady". I think it will surprise you and maybe make you smile.

Keeping you in my prayers. Tell Julia we are thinking about her too.

  8. My PET scan results turned out clear. To all of you who prayed and thought about me I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I admit I was nervous this time. My oncologist told me flat out that this one is gone. Told me not to even think about it any more (yeah right  )

The main thing is all of you supporting me when I was a little scared. I want you all to know I appreciate it.

I still feel like dirt but it is not cancer so I can deal with it. We'll get to the bottom of it eventually.

    Again, thank you.

  9. I don't know how to thank you for your prayers. It means the world to me that all of you thought about me and took the time to send your thoughts upward. I did get good news.

I am told that I am still a NERD. Who ever thought that NED and NERD would turn out to be such beautiful words.

They had my scan mixed up with another one and first reported that I had a kidney tumor..then realized their mistake and took another look. They said I was clear. Talk about a little scare.

I still don't feel very well but we'll figure that out soon. I did get a copy of the disc to send to my nephew, who is a radiologist in Nashville. Will really celebrate when I get his reading.

    Again...Thank You!

  10. Dear friends,

After 4 years since my last treatment I am not feeling great so my oncologist wants another scan. It has been since Dec 2005 so I am a little nervous. Please keep me in your prayers. I will know the results on Mon. July 30th. Thanks in advance.

    Nina
