  1. Aaron, I hope that it is the drug and that your symptoms go away asap. Keeping everything crossed for that MRI. I hope they find something without the side effects to help with that pain.

  2. I'm so sorry Teri. Bill was special and expressed his thoughts so well. I do hope you finish his book and let us know when it is published. With both of your words it has to be a best seller.

    Keeping you in my prayers.

  3. Aaron,

If you could possibly go to the NIH and see Kasey's doctor I think it would be well worth your time and effort. He seems to know what all the options are and he has done a great job with Kasey. Have you mentioned this to Dr. West? Might give that a go as well. Let us all know what you find out and decide.

  4. Ernie,

I am so sorry to read that you have new nodules. I can't help with the radiation clinic but wanted to wish you only the best as you beat this monster back again. You are in my prayers.

  5. Carleen,

So many of us have been worried about you that I was glad to see your name next to a post. I know that there is nothing I can say to help but know you are in my prayers. I hope that you will be able to stay around here for a while. We all have missed you and perhaps talking to us you can release some of your pain. Know that I care what happens in your life and I will listen anytime you want to talk.

  6. Covering All the Bases

A little boy was overheard talking to himself as he strode through his

backyard, baseball cap in place and toting ball and bat. "I'm the

greatest baseball player in the world," he said proudly. Then he tossed

the ball in the air, swung and missed. Undaunted, he picked up the

ball, threw it into the air and said to himself, "I'm the greatest

player ever!" He swung at the ball again, and again he missed. He

paused a moment to examine bat and ball carefully. Then once again he

threw the ball into the air and said, "I'm the greatest baseball player

who ever lived." He swung the bat hard and again missed the ball.

"Wow!" he exclaimed. "What a pitcher!"

  7. I took wellbutrin for depression and xanax for anxiety. I still take them. The xanax helps me to calm down at night to sleep and the 1/2 life of it is much less than ativan, so you don't feel sedated when its time to get up in the morning. If it were me I would be looking for quality of life as well as quantity. Perhaps decreasing the dose is what is called for at this point. WBR by itself can cause extreme tiredness and with chemo it works even harder on the body. Ask the doctor about reducing the dose of chemo while on WBR and perhaps increasing it again when he is over that ordeal. Remember that radiation is the gift that keeps on giving so he may be very tired for a while.

  8. Those are normal things for the babies AND normal things for the new momma. Try to get some sleep (if there was a formula for that I'd be rich) and enjoy. And don't forget pictures. I am so happy for you all.
