Beat it,
YOu are struggling with some of the same issues I did when my mom was sick. It is so hard to be positive when you see a downhill slide. On one hand, the knowledge you have gained gives you a tadbit of control, but on the other hand, it is devastating to know and watch. All I can say is to keep on keepin on, never give up and always be her advocate. You are doing a fabulous job!

Kelly,
I also send my condolences to you and your family. Your mom is at peace and that is a good thing, she fought so very hard.
Prayers of peace for you...

OK, so I'm cheering right along with everyone else, even though I am very uncoordinated.
You are one tough cookie who can get through anything. Hang tough girl, it has to get easier!

Dana,
I am so sorry. My prayers are that our moms are meeting and are eternally happy.

Nice try Ann....

That is such a load of crap. I agree with Ry, call around and see if you can get another hospice to help with what your mom's needs are NOW. This makes me sick, really sick to my stomach.

I feel the same also, even though I'm a mom. I am wishing it was Monday already and that is just not like me. Hugs Sarah

Yeah, John hates to drive the van bc he knows he'll be shelling out money to put in the tank. I live on the dangerous side here too.

Only if they are on heads.

Yes, be hopeful that he far surpasses everyone's expectations. It will help him and you.

We celebrated my mom's birthday in the hospital. We laughed and cried. Her roommate (and her family)enjoyed the celebration too!
I hope that this stays as manageable as possible for all of you. HUGS

Tanner,
This roller coaster certainly takes it's toll on the patient and caregiver. Try to do what Mary Colleen said, dig way deep down for an ounce more of strength. Many hugs and prayers being sent your way.

Oh Dana, I am so sorry. I will say many prayers of peace for your beautiful mom.

Well, I think I've told you all about the annual Gburg girls trip. My mom had gone for 10 years with this group of about 10-15 women and I went several of those years. As a matter of fact, my mom was diagnosed on the 2004 trip in the ER.
Tomorrow, I leave to go on the trip and I have a whole range of emotions, such as I wish mama was here, she's glad I'm going, it won't be the same without her, will she "stop in" for a visit, etc.
These are the same girls who helped me make the Elton John trip happen and I love them all.
I'll get through it, we'll probably have lots of tears and laughter and that's OK. I just wish she was here. Here's to mama...

My love and prayers to all of you!

You are not complaining Teri, just letting it out-which is good. It's scary when things don't feel right. I hope you can get to the bottom of it at the Dr. visit. HUGS
-
So glad to hear it, now on to recovery! Get some rest!!

Geri,
Just offering up my support while you spend your summer battling the beast. BIG HUGS

Mr. Pioneer, I mean Don.
Your story is surely one of hope and courage. For that, may you be rewarded with that cure. I am so very glad you squeeked in that door. You're awesome.
