eppie
Thrilled the hurricane bypassed Baytown. NOw on the treatment. dad had his 3rd chemo treatment and all his blood work came back good. He had Carbo platin first. Then Taxol and then today pamidonate. I have never heard of this last drug. Has anyone here been one it or know about it? Next week he starts radiation. I had been hopeful about possible resection but Dad says he has tumors in both lungs. I guess inoperable means inoperable.....????? Hoping this treament melts the cancer away. Peace to all in pain and strength to defeat this beast. Eppie

kamataca
I haven't heard of it either, but I'm still new to the chemo game. Hope things go well! Kelly

bunny
unfortunately, I can't help with drug information, either. I just wanted to throw my support and prayers into the mix. xoxo bunny
Don M
Eppie: I think pamidonate is for bone mets. I have read that one should not do tooth extractions when using bisphosphonates and pamidonate is a bisphosphonate. Here is a link that talks about possible bone loss as a possible side effect of using bisphosphonates. Pamidonate is not specifically mentioned, but it is a bisphosphonate. http://www.myeloma.org/main.jsp?type=ar ... =0&id=1223 Don M
