barbara5452
Went for my CT this a.m. Family doctor called around 4:00 p.m no masses or nodules in the lungs but 1 nodule in mediastinum. Confused on this was, told it was the lymph node in between lungs, my worst fear recurrence, any one know what my next step will be. Family doctor said he would be talking to my surgeon the did my lobectomy in 9-04. Scared.... to death. Any one else had this type of nodule ? Also told it is bearing to the right, from what I've read that may be a positive thing as this could effect the heart.
ma's kid
Barbara, I don't know the answers to your questions but want you to know that I am praying things are ok. Perhaps you could ask Dr. West? Sending love and strength Libby
sharonjo
Barbara, I don't have any idea about your nodule, but wanted to offer my prayers for good news after the doctors have reviewed your scans. Hang in there and stay strong! God Bless, Sharon
tkelley
Barbara, My father was just diagnosed with the same thing, a new nodule in that area between the lungs. His history is much more involved than yours but he just began 3 cycles of Alimta. Sorry, I can't be of more help. Tammy
ernrol
Barbara, I don’t have an answer for you, but I have thought about reoccurrence. I think that I would get a second opinion like I did the first time just to make sure that I was getting the best treatment. Keep us posted. Stay positive, Ernie
Don M
Hi Barbara, for what it is worth, I have had several swollen nodes in my mediastinum, that bore watching but never lit up on a PET scan. They turned out to not be cancer. don M
spicysashimi
Mine is poorly differentiated and I responded well to treatment. Don't let them box you in, anything can happen. aaron
