Connie B Posted September 12, 2007 Posted September 12, 2007 Just a story to share with my friends. A friend had shared it with me. TO THOSE I LOVE When I am gone, just release me, let me go - so I can move into my afterglow. You mustn’t tie me down with your tears; let’s be happy that we had so many years. I gave you my love, you can only guess how much you gave me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, but now it’s time I traveled on alone. So grieve for me awhile, if grieve you must, then let your grief be comforted with trust. It’s only for a while that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart. And then, when you must come this way alone, I’ll greet you with a smile and a “Welcome Home”. Quote

Connie B Posted September 13, 2007 Author Posted September 13, 2007 No Randy, everything is fine. (bless your huge heart) A friend shared this with me and I put it in this Forum. Maybe it's better off in the Grieving Forum. Quote

dadstimeon Posted September 13, 2007 Posted September 13, 2007 Gee Commie I was about to call my brother who is a priest and say a prayer for you. But seriously nice poem and words to live by. Quote
blaze100 Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Hi Connie, I liked...sounded like something my Mom would have said. Thank you. Barb Quote
Ry Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I am going to copy this and send it to John's mother's friends at her living facility. John's mom passed away from lung cancer a few days ago and I was about to write to her friends and tell them how special they all were to her and send them a dessert to share in her memory. This is perfect -- thanks Connie. Quote
