nomadawn
Hi , Mum got her results today. Body and bone scan clear. The cancer in her breast is NOT from the lung but is a primary cancer. She is having a mastectomy in 4 days. We are all a little relieved that the lung cancer is stable but feel apprehensive at this new diagnosis. Doctor feels confident it is treatable. I feel so sad that mum now has to have this surgery after all she has been through. She may have to have radiation also. All in all I feel a little mixed on this result. I do not know of anyone to have had a similar situation either. Oh well, fingers crossed. God bless Debbie
Don M
Well Debbie, as bad as it seems, a new breast cancer primary is better than a lung cancer spread. I hope your mom has a speedy recovery and beats the breast cancer. Don M
Wendy
Debbie, I am so sorry that your mum has been dealt another blow, it just doesn't seem fair. Don't lose hope, I know there are survivors of both lung and breast cancer out there - including a few on this board. Wishing you the best, Wendy
