blueeye Posted November 30, 2007 Share Posted November 30, 2007 Patricia Ann Phillips Holland Graveside services for Patricia Ann Phillips Holland will be Sunday, December 2nd at 2:30 p.m. at Laurel Hill Cemetery, 14th street. Mrs. Holland died November 28th at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born June 7, 1940 in Morgantown, West Virginia she was the daughter of Delores Kathleen Henry and James Ervin Phillips. On September 8, 1962 she married James Theron Holland who preceded her in death by a mere eleven months. Pat was a loving mother and grandmother whose creativity was endless. She worked for the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Intelligence and Research for ten years before leaving to raise her children. She then returned to work as a teacher’s aide and finally retired from Archbold Medical Center as a medical laboratory transcriptionist. Mrs. Holland will also be remembered as a master seamstress. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law Robert and Nancy Phillips; sister and brother-in-law Edwin and Delores Prugh both of Morgantown, West Virginia; son and daughter-in-law David and Charlotte Holland of Gainesville, Georgia; daughter Leslie Holland of Thomasville; grandsons Zachary and Joshua and granddaughter Kristen Holland all of Gainesville, Georgia. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lewis Hall Singletary Oncology Center 116 Mimosa Dr. Thomasville, GA., 31792 or the Archbold Foundation, Gordon Ave. at Mimosa Dr., Thomasville, GA., 31792. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 3-5 p.m. Visitors may sign the online guest register at www.allenfh.com.
