Heather_T Posted January 21, 2008 Share Posted January 21, 2008 I have had 20 CT Chest Scans. The lady who scheduled me said I can eat but I was told on my other CT not to eat before my scans. twodogs Posted January 21, 2008 Share Posted January 21, 2008 I've been having Cat Scans since June of 2003 with no instructions on eating UNTIL NOW! Kasey Posted January 21, 2008 Share Posted January 21, 2008 Just had one 2 weeks ago. It was scheduled after my appt. with the doctor. I hadn't known about it ahead of time. It was scheduled for 1:00 PM. The research asst. told me I couldn't eat for 4 hours. That worked out since I had only a piece of fruit just before 9. Not sure what would have happened if I had eaten anything later than that. I know what you mean about not eating. Sometimes the way the scans are scheduled, I must wait until mid afternoon. Connie B Posted January 21, 2008 Share Posted January 21, 2008 Every time I have a CT it's NO FOOD OR DRINKS before it. That's with or without contrast. My suggestion is to ask Dr. West.
