I thought the stories were powerful as well. One prominent theme was the smoking assumption. I'm starting to think that we need an advocacy campaign based on the theme "anyone can get it" to frighten more people into demading that we adaquately fund lung cancer research. That 22 year-old in the "voices" piece would be a perfect spokesperson! Hmmm. . .

Mom is doing well right now. She completed the last of six chemo treatments in March and her scan earlier this month showed that she is stable. She now gets a treatment break of at least 3 months--which is very welcome news. She is feeling pretty good and looking foward to her hair growing back!

Ned--I didn't make the connection until you mentioned it!

I THOUGHT that story sounded familiar when I was listening, but I thought it was just cause it was so similar to my mom's.

Great stuff! I follow Lisa's blog, and shared speaking duties with Jerrold at the DFW Walk/Run for Lungevity, so it was great hearing both of them. I thought the other stories were excellent, too.
