barbvh
Today was THE RESULTS SHOW from the PET/CT I had last week. Thankfully I am still NED for cancer, but the inflamation that was almost completely gone in June after a 6 week round of prednisone is back and just as bad as before. SO it's back on prednisone again. This time for 3 months at a lower dose (20mg) and then another CT. If things look good then they will start a taper they said would be 6 months to 1 year. I have a new script for Ambien as the insomnia was really bad. The last round gave me high blood pressure and other side effects. I am telling myself to just make prednisone my friend. It did help my arthritis and back pain a lot:)
Patti B
((((Barb))) So sorry abou the inflammation and that you have to go back on the Prednisone but i am SOOOO happy you are still cancer free. Let me know how you like the Ambien. I just got a script for it about a month ago and it upset my stomach so they switched me to Lunesta. Hugs - Patti B. Kasey
Great to hear the word STABLE, Barb. Sorry about the prednisone though. Hope you are succesful in becoming BFF's with it. And good luck with the sleep issue. In the meantime, enjoy not having the immediate worry of C hanging over your head and feel better soon. barbvh
Thanks Patti & Kasey, I know how BLESSED I am to be NED and not have the C hanging over me as it had before. The Ambien worked last time, so I assume it will now. So it's a day at a time and hopefully any other side effects will be minimal. Maryanne
Hi Barb, GREAT news about your NED diagnosis! That must be such a relief off your mind. As far as the predisone that is only temporary and it should take care of your problem. So glad the Ambiem is working! Is a horrible feeling when you can't sleep. As least now you can get relief. zzzzzzz Maryanne
