G.A.M.
I've elected the latest in radiation treatment for cancer at UPMC. They made my molds and mapped out my body y'day. They'll call in two to three weeks, after the physicist team do all the math. There will be four total treatments. They think I'll be cancer-free at that point. I'm still recovering from the last surgery and I'm not at all sure what another one would do to my body. I can always have the surgery down the road if the radiation doesn't work. That's my thought process anyway. Thanks for all the kind words and advice.

Susan Cornett
I presume you're talking about SBRT. I had that treatment in September 2018 and have been NED since. I didn't have any side effects from that treatment. Surgery wasn't an option for me but thankfully SBRT was.
G.A.M.
I've received the insurance approval and it is marked up with both SBRT and IMRT. I didn't receive this before I visited the oncologist, so I am not sure which. Based on what I've read, I'm assuming SBRT as the size is < 3 cm. I'm happy to hear it's worked for you.
