jack14
Does anyone know how / where I can find out if there is any new therapies for genomic findings (pharmacogenomic testing)? Also, how does one find out if there's a trial that they might benefit from that is "showing promise"?
jack14
I have found this link through the Mayo Clinic: https://www.mayo.edu/research/clinical-trials/search-results?keyword=NSCLC&studySiteStatusesGrouped=Open/Status Unknown Rower Michelle
Rower Michelle
Good timing Jack! On Tuesday the Go2Foundation will feature Dr Ben Levy on the latest and greatest in testing and treatment. You can find this in YouTube which streams live or is recorded. I watch the recorded versions. As for clinical trials, that’s a wee bit challenging, www.clinicaltrials.gov allows you to search but frankly I don’t find it to be a valuable resource. Generally I poke around the ASCO Meeting Abstracts, they have nice summaries available. jack14

Rower Michelle
Hi Jack- Yes, that’s a Lung Cancer Living Room episode from last year with De Levy. He’s going to update this talk on Tuesday. If you watch it live there is an opportunity to ask questions directly via a chat option. I think it’s also on FB too- https://m.youtube.com/user/BonnieJAddario Heres the ASCO search tool I like- https://meetinglibrary.asco.org/results;page=0?filters=JTVCJTdCJTIyZmllbGQlMjIlM0ElMjJNZWRpYVR5cGVzJTIyJTJDJTIydmFsdWUlMjIlM0ElMjJBYnN0cmFjdHMlMjIlMkMlMjJxdWVyeVZhbHVlJTIyJTNBJTIyQWJzdHJhY3RzJTIyJTJDJTIyY2hpbGRyZW4lMjIlM0ElNUIlNUQlN0QlNUQ%3D&meetingView=2020 ASCO Virtual Scientific Program jack14
LUNGevityKristin
Hi Jack, LUNGevity has a Clinical Trial Finder that will help you find any trials that you would qualify for: https://lungevity.org/for-patients-caregivers/lung-cancer-101/find-clinical-trial You can also be partnered with a Clinical Trial Ambassador if you would like to speak with someone who has gone through the process: https://app.emergingmed.com/lcctal/home jack14
jack14
Thanks RM and Kristin! I am not looking for a trial at this time, as I am currently being treated with Keytruda. I am just trying to think ahead and keep up with the advancements. Particularly those that might be appropriate for me should the immunotherapy fail. I have been told that should that happen, that chemo would be the only therapy left at this time. My Foundation One Panel didn't reveal any mutations that are targetable. If I am undrstanding this correctly, there could be a discovery that gives me some alternative treatments? Like MET amplification; CCND1-amplification; SMARCB1-RC374Q-subclonal; or MTAP-loss? Rower Michelle
Hi Jack We’re definitely on the same path! In addition to the Lungevity conference next week which has some really fabulous experts, here’s another conference about the latest & greatest in new treatment https://cancergrace.org/post/join-us-september-12-2020-rescheduled-targeted-therapies-patient-forum I pretty much gave up on Google a while ago & prefer these types of resources.
