Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at the Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel. Mrs. Goforth was born January 8, 1973, in San Antonio, Texas, to Charles and Georgene Abercrombie Goforth. She has been a resident of Nacogdoches for the past two years, where she was a math professor at Stephen F. Austin State University. Survivors include her husband, Curtis Ruder of Nacogdoches, Texas; daughter, Katherine Michelle Ruder of Nacogdoches, Texas; mother, Georgene Goforth of Austin, Texas; father and step-mother, Charles and Louise Goforth of Houston, Texas; brother, Eric Goforth, of Austin, Texas; and grandmother, Irene Gillem of Wichita Falls, Texas. Memorial donations in her honor may be made to the Becky Goforth Scholarship Fund at Trinity University, 210 Stadium Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78212. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. today at her home, 526 Egret Drive, Nacogdoches, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, Nacogdoches, Texas.
