Candy Posted June 12, 2003 Share Posted June 12, 2003 Hugh came to visit me at work today. Now, this might not seem like much but I work on the third floor. No elevator! He was out of breath when he got to my door, but then so am I every time I walk up here. I was shocked to see him. In January this guy couldn't even walk from one room to another in the house without sitting down and literally gasping for breath. Now here he is not only driving but dancing up 3 flights of stairs. The oncologist at IU Med Center told us just yesterday that those who get exercise get stronger and stronger and seem to respond to chemo even more. Tell him we are proud of him!
