Chemo and radiation ended October 2022. Immunotherapy ends Tuesday. I saw my oncologist this morning and he says everything looks good. Tumor is stable. I'll see him every 3 months instead of every month and get a CAT scan every 3 months.

Just an update. I did call again on Tuesday and the receptionist said that she would make sure a doctor called me that day. The doctor did call in the afternoon and I told her this was the third phone call in a week and she said this was the first message she received. At first I thought BS, but then I remember in the first two phone calls the receptionist was leaving a message for the nurse. So I assume it's the nurse had dropped the ball. Anyway the doctor said no there is nothing alarming. A small cyst on the pancreas which she said very rarely turns to cancer but of course they will watch it on my scans anyway. Lymph nodes have not increased in size. And the doctor suggested I call patient relations to let them know what happened, which I did and they said they would investigate.

I left a message with the oncology receptionist. This is in a major hospital. I don't think this would happen if my doctor wasn't on vacation. He called me himself twice in one week to answer my questions.

My latest CAT scan results came back and my Dr is on vacation. He said if there was anything alarming in the results, someone would call me. Results came back 5 days ago. So far no call. Thank God. The report said "stable small pancreatic tail hypodensity IPMN". "Newly seen nodular opacity infectious/inflammation". Nothing about the lymph nodes. Tumor has decreased a bit. Again Thank God. I've called the office twice to find out what this means and no return call. Of course I googled. I'm not freaking out but it would be nice to talk to a medical professional to tell me if I need to be concerned. Any help is appreciated.

I'm halfway through Immunotherapy and tolerating well, but have pain in my feet, hands and wrists. I saw my oncologist yesterday and he wants to pause treatment. He did bloodwork to check for Rheumatoid arthritis, which came back negative but ANA is positive. Did anyone else experience this? Any info is appreciated.

I've had 3 immunotherapy treatments. I have osteoarthritis to begin with and the only major side effect is intense arthritis pain the first half of the day. Anyone else?

It's so strange to me that I have perfect bloodwork results, perfect vitals and I feel great yet I have stage 3 lung cancer.

I had my first chemo and radiation today. I didn't have any reaction to the meds. They did everything they can to make me comfortable. I was given Benadryl, Pepsid and steroids before treatment started. The Benadryl knocked me out. Hopefully I'll gain a few pounds with the steroids. Love and Peace.

I know they did do the biomarker testing. I have an appointment to see my oncologist August 1st the day before my treatment starts and I will push for the results.

After almost 2 months of tests and meeting doctors, I'm finally starting chemo and radiation for stage 3 lung cancer. I'm a little nervous about the chemo side effects. I'm just hoping they're not too severe. I'll take hair loss and fatigue for 1000 Alex. 😄

Thank you everyone. There are so many positive posts here. I want to direct my sister and sons to read these. I'm concerned about their mental and physical health through this. I make sure to ask how they're doing because we're in this together.

Hi. My name is Jill. 60 years old. Watching my dog try to catch lightning bugs on this beautiful evening. Both parents died of lung cancer. I went in for an annual physical and it was strongly suggested I get a cat scan because of family history. I have a mass on the right side. Already did the petscan and will be going for biopsy in 10 days. I'm very calm with a positive attitude. It's been very inspirational reading all of your posts. Everyone stay positive!
