    Mom:(

Dawn, I'm so very sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your father. I lost my mom several years ago, but I can still recall how lost I felt, as did my Dad. I just let him know that I was there for him. As for getting through it, Nick's comments hit home. It takes time, but it will get easier. I will keep you in my prayers. Susan

  16. Hello everyone. I just recently found this wonderful community and thought I would introduce myself. I’m 45 and I lost my mom (and best friend) to lung cancer several years ago, 1987 to be exact. At the time of her diagnosis in April of ’86, the cancer had metastasized into both lungs and was inoperable. Over the next several months, she went through a series of chemotherapy treatments, all the while maintaining a courageous and positive attitude. Sadly, we lost her on August 5, 1987. I hope I can be of some support here to others who have been impacted by LC. Susan
