  12. Lillee, Sorry about the decline. When my Dad was at the end, the confusion started about 3 weeks before he passed. But in those 3 weeks, he had days that were great! We finally knew it was the end when he started to fall whlie walking, or getting out of bed, and then eventually couldnt get out of bed and then became pretty much unresponsive and then the final stages signs started to appear, as in slower respirations, very low BP, low or no urine output and skin becomes mottled and cool to the touch. The fact that you Dad is still getting out bed is a good sign. Like the others said... say what you want to know, I knew that I needed to do that, and never took the chance to do it. Thoughts your way Shelli
  13. ACTUAL AUSTRALIAN COURT DOCKET 12659 ---CASE OF THE PREGNANT LADY A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus. She noticed the man opposite her was smiling at her. She immediately moved to another seat. This time the smile turned into a grin, so she moved again. The man seemed more amused. When on the fourth move, the man burst out laughing, she complained to the driver and he had the man arrested. The case came up in court. The judge asked the man (about 20 years old) what he had to say for himself. The man replied, "Well, your Honor, it was like this. When the lady got on the bus, I couldn't help but notice her condition. She sat down under a sign that said, 'The Double Mint Twins are coming' and I grinned. Then she moved and sat under a sign that said, 'Logan's Liniment will reduce the swelling,' and I had to smile. Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said, 'William's Big Stick Did the Trick,' and I could hardly contain myself. But, Your Honor, when she moved the fourth time and sat under a sign that said, 'Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this Accident'... I just lost it." "CASE DISMISSED!!"
  14. IMPORTANT INVESTMENT PLANNING FOR HARD TIMES NOWג€¦ג€¦ג€¦.!!!!!!!!!!! If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Delta Airlines one year ago, you will have $49.00 today. If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in AIG one year ago, you will have $33.00 today. If you had purchased $1,000 of shares in Lehman Brothers one year ago, you will have $0.00 today. But, if you had purchased $1,000 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the aluminum cans for Recycling refund, you will have received a $214.00. Based on the above, the best current investment plan is to drink heavily & recycle. It is called the 401-Keg. A recent study found that the average American walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year. That means that, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon! Makes you proud to be an American!

  20. Dana.. I hear what your saying.. its hard not to think the worst.. but it could possible be just something as simple as the flu or a urinary infection...or even deydration. Just being a slight bit dehydrated can make even the healthest of us have headaches! Keep postitive, Dana... and if it seems to get worse.. dont hesitate to call the Onc. I forgot if I asked before, but is your Mom going to UW? Thinking of you and hugs being sent to you from Oshkosh! ((((Dana)))) your fellow-caregiver Wisconsinite, Shelli
