You've been on my mind a lot...glad you are coping...what else is one to do, hmmm?
Thanks for taking the time and expending the energy to relieve our concerns about you and Mike. Blessings.

Becky-
Rest, recouperate, regenerate. Glad that you are home and loved the "benign" diagnosis. Hope you are being spoiled rotten. Hugs.
-
Addie-
The news has floored me! Crap and double crap! Hang in there with that special Addietude for which you are well known. Prayers.

Thought you might relate to one of the smoking conversations that I had when a lady reacted to my LCSC shirt at exercise class:
Lady: "How long did you smoke?"
Me: "None. I'm a life-long non-smoker."
Lady: "Oh. How much did your husband smoke?"
Me: "He's also a non-smoker."
Lady: "Oh. Then how much did your parents smoke?"
Me: "Both my parents were non-smokers."
Lady: "Oh. Then where did you work?"
Me: "I worked in a school house; I'm a teacher."
Lady: "Oh. Then it must have been all the bars you hung out in as a young adult."
Me: I just smiled and walked away shaking my head What a ninny!
I have other much-loved family members who still smoke. The blaming is useless. We LC survivors are simply asking to be accorded a level playing field as far a research and funding are concerned and to be accorded the dignity and respect that all deserve.
I loved the "on fire" response. I think I'll try that out

Darlene and Ronnie-
Wishing the best for you on all fronts...staying busy and having other things to think about than just the Big "C" can be very positive. Keep posting.

Thanks for the open, informative post. I especially like your idea of scrapping the protocols and going at this illness with a no-holds-barred attitude. Thankful that you are doing OK and hoping more options open up for you as needed. Hugs.

Happy, Happy,

Yesssss!!!! Couldn't agree more, Lisa! This is not about good/bad habits, this fight is about parity and EVERYONE's right to the very best care and everyone's health issues being valued. Thanks for representing ALL of us so well!

Love and Hugs to one of our favorite LC survivors and dearest friend and bestest supporter! HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Sounds like things are going well. Amazed that he was off the pain meds so soon. Chemo depends on each person, but he sounds as if he would be stalwart about side effects. A GOOD SHOWER IS WORTH A THOUSAND PAIN MEDS! Hang in there!
-
Thinking of Dean and Gay with love and affection. Prayers.
-
Jim-
The news made me head for a calorie-laden snack! I'm pullin' for you and counting on the latest chemo to hold off the demon longer. Hugs.
-
Thank YOU for a very reaffirming post about what is important every day.
-
Peggy-
Praying that God's grace will see you and Mike through this tragedy. Tears and condolences. We are all devastated by your loss.

Way too young, vibrant, and valuable to lose to this ugly disease. I'm very sorry for your pain and loss.
