Welcome Sherri, sorry you had to find us but you will find its a great place to be considering whats happening to your father. Please don't pay attention to stats, your father is not a stat. We all react differently to treatments and there is more hope than not. you will get plenty of support and prayer here. Keep coming back and keep us updated.

Welcome, glad you decided to post. Never can get to much support. I know what you mean about trying to battle this disease and wanting not to deal with it. It is hard but together we all can fight a good fight.

My understanding is, we are spirit, we have a soul made up of mind will and emotions, and we live in a temporal body. Our spirits are eternel. If there is a design within this universe and things operate on pretty solid laws of physics then I would conclude that there most be a designer. If not , it would be like someone taking all the materials needed to build a house, throw them off a cliff and by time it reached the ground, would have assembled itself with every detail entact to make it a house.

Bruce, you mention in your signature a hiatel hernia, could possibly be that? Personally I would not waste any time seeing your Dr. I have head and neck cancer and those signs would be very worrisome to me, Not trying to scare you but being safe with this disease is better that finding out to late, treatment for head and neck cancer is no picnic. I only mention this because I've been through it and you already have been dx with cancer. Praying it has something to do with hiatel and nothing more.

Jane, I know its hard when you loved someone and now they are gone, but you will see him again,in a much better place and for a much longer time. Our time here in this realm is short compared with eternity. May God give you peace and joy in this.

Dogs not only make good warning systems but also my great companions. I have a beagle right now but before her we had Labadores which are great dogs.
