  4. I love all dogs, but I have seen some that instinctively made me feel afraid.. kinda like people I guess. It's all about the individual dog, not breed , in my opinion. Goldens and labs are my favorites. I'm partial to Shepherds too. Sue
  5. Thank you everyone for your continued support, prayers and happy dancing. You guys are the best. Don't know where I would be without you and glad I don't have to know. Mom is on 3rd day of Tarceva at 75mg.. early yet to know if this dose will work. Will update you later when we have a better idea. Again, thank you. Love and Prayers to all, Sue
  6. So sorry your mom won't be released yet, but at times like this it is comforting to know our loved ones are in the hands of medical professionals. I will keep the prayers coming and hoping for the very best for your precious mom. God Bless, Sue
  7. (((Randy)))) I can see them now and I can only imagine the love with which they were sent. AWESOME!!! Sue
  8. Before I could get back here to respond, I am reading your mom is doing so much better. That is wonderful news. Hope everything continues to get better and she will go home soon as planned. Luv and Prayers, Sue
  9. Oh Ann, Is she signed up with Gerber yet? She is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. Sue
  10. I love this board and I love the fact that I can report that my mom's PET Scan end of June showed she is CANCER FREE- NED!!! She had an oncologist appointment this morning and all was good. Her bloodwork is good and all her vitals etc. She was on Tarceva as adjuvant chemo, for 9 days at 150 mg, but the list of side effects she had was rather long. After being off of it a couple weeks she is feeling much better. He said he would like for her to start on 75mg. and see how that does . He said if need be he can even lower it from there. He just wants her on some kind of chemo . Due to her overall condition, age (78yrs) and other health concerns this is the chemo he has chosen to be the best choice for her. I just want to thank everyone for your well wishes and prayers. It means so much to me and my family. Now if you will join me in a happy dance.... I rarely get to do those, but for today we dance... Woo Hoo!!!! Love and Prayers to All, Sue
  11. Thanks for the baby report , Missy. That last month is always hard, but even harder when it's hot as blazes and when you are battling bloodpressure problems. You've just got to take care of yourself for that new little one . Won't be as long as it has been... right? Well, I wanted to say something positive.. lol Take care of yourself, Missy... you're worth it. Sue
  12. Most definitely sign my name. Interesting question, are you looking for someone.. Sue

  15. Oh Val, Could it really be two years? How? What a wonderful way you spent your day. I love what you did for the folks at the cancer center. It means so much to have someone come through and spread a little cheer, yes it does. God Bless you Val and Oh yeah, I love the new pic of your precious kids. They are beautiful. God Bless, Sue
  16. I absolutely hate grocery shopping. I do it when I can't put it off another day and I HAVE to go. I'm a morning shopper, hate crowds, and I try to go towards the end of the week or on Sunday morning. Have to go tomorrow and grrrr I dread it, but I don't like to shop period.. The internet is great. lol Sue
  17. Teri, There just aren't words. I am so very sorry to read this news. Bill was such a fighter, a giver and a real inspiration. May he rest in peace and may God be with you and your family during this very difficult time. Love and Prayers, Sue
  18. Robin, I think what your doctor means is that as long as you are having positive results and not too many adverse side effects he will continue the chemo. The usual case is if your tumors are sensitive to it and you are getting good results without too many bad side effects, a chemo is continued. Once a certain drug is no longer effective or proves to be one that your body can't tolerate, it means it's time to move on to another drug. For future reference, don't be afraid to ask you doctor what he meant when he says something. You aren't expected to understand all of this. It's their job to explain it to you so that you understand what they plan to do with your body. My best to you. Sue
  19. Never could get past the thought of it.. so I never tried. So, tell me am I missing out? Sue

    smoking

Congratulations , Eileen. Quitting smoking is hard because nicotine is addictive. I quit over 4 years ago after smoking for 38 years. I learned so much about nicotine addiction from this site... http://whyquit.com/. You should be very proud of yourself for being two months free. I promise you that in time it does get easier. You will have triggers that make you have thoughts of smoking , but they are only thoughts. You are doing great. Sue
  21. (((Melinda))), I do understand. It has been 1 year and over 4 months since I lost my husband and I am still trying to figure out who I am without him. It's hard when you lose what feels like a part of yourself. I can only tell you that there are more days that I find myself wanting to move ahead and days when I don't cry at all. It does get better. There are also those days, those thoughts , those songs that bring on fresh intense pain. It's hard. Hang in there and know that we are here and will be here for you. Love, Sue
  22. Garage sales , bargain stores flea markets etc. have always appealed to me, but I have only been to few because I have noone to go with . I'm not much of a loner. Sue
