    Hi!!

Christy, Thanks for the update. It's good to hear you sounding so happy with your job .That's just wonderful. Good news about your mom's scans. Sorry about your uncle. Hope something can be done to help him.. This disease is just so different for each person. Will keep all of you in my prayers. God Bless, Sue
  2. (((Carleen))), I'm so glad you posted here today. I'm glad you still remember us. So many of us know , understand and can relate to your pain. We also were here with you while your Keith battled this disease. We haven't forgotten and we never will forget what a long and courageous battle he fought. It has been 1 yr. 41/2 months since I lost my prince and I do understand your continuing pain. My heart goes out to you. Please keep in touch. Love and Prayers, Sue
  3. Cindy, First of all my sincere condolences. I am so very sorry for your loss. I have been reading your story, but having no experience with hospice, I had nothing to contribute. I have been however thinking of you and praying for you and your husband. I'm so very sorry you had to go through everything you've been through. I'm sending prayers for strength to get you and your family through all that lies ahead. God Bless, Sue
  4. My dear, friend Jill, I've known Jill for over 4 years because we both were supporting one another over at whyquit.com, when we quit smoking. In recent months when she announced that her father was suffering with lung cancer, I suggested she join us here for support. Unfortunately, her father's battle was very short from time of diagnosis til his death and she hardly had time to know what had happened to her. Jill, I am so glad you did decide to join us. It's not the place that any of us want to be, but we are thankful to have one another to lean on. Thank you for sharing your Dad's obituary with us. My heart is breaking for you. You will find many people here who totally understand how you feel. Take care friend. Love and Prayers, Sue
  5. That's great news, Lorrie. Happy for you and Gary. Sue

    Scan results

Ernie, I know these aren't the results that you hoped for, but it sounds like you have a good plan in place. Letting God handle it and you doing your part with that fantastic attitude sounds like a winning combination to me. What a wonderful inspiration you are. God Bless. Sue

    This Sucks

((Anne)), You come here and vent all you want. It helps. We do understand. I only wish I could take the pain away for you. You are in my prayers. Sue
  8. Heidi, I would be comforted by the fact that they are keeping close watch on your mom. I would encourage that. Recurrence does and can happen. We can never put this behind us, but it can be a comfort to know that someone is watching and making sure if anything shows up, they will take care of it. Great plan. God Bless, Sue
  9. Paige , Thanks for dropping in and sharing your feelings with us. It sounds like you have come a long way in your healing from your grief . It's good to know that it does and can get easier in time. Take care and know that we are glad to have you , anytime. Sue

  18. Deanne, Thank you for sharing your husband's results with us. This sounds like very encouraging news. My mom has currently been taken off of her Tarceva at 150mg and will most likely be put back on a lower dose next week. Time will tell. Wishing your husband continued success. Keep us informed. Sue
  19. Mom has only been on Tarceva for a week. She still has no rash or diarrhea , which is the usual, but she is having a lot of other side effects. You might know that her onc is in England and she went into the clinic to see her nurse, physician's assistant and got advice from another doc. She has an extremely sore tongue and mouth , even after the use of magic mouth wash and she has started having fatigue, cough and shortness of breath. They checked her out good today, did lots of blood work and she will go for a chest xray in the morning. They wanted her to go today, but she was so exhausted. They took her off the meds until all info is in and the doctor advises what to do next. We are hoping that she can stay on Tarceva and just lower the dosage. I am just posting this for the ones that have asked how she is doing and also as a source of information to others who might encounter the same problems. I know how much I have appreciated others doing the same. Just so you know, Mom is cheerful , laughing and has a great attitude. Will let you know how this progresses. God Bless you all. Luv ya, Sue
