Gigi
Hello, my name is Gigi. My mother was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer 2 months ago. Since that time she has undergone a lobectomy and has undergone 1 round of chemo. She didn't do well with the chemo and it was quite scary. That is why I am here, for support and guidance. I'm particularly interested to find out how other patients are coping with chemo and whether they have any tips for fighting fatigue. I'm sure I will find this and more if I just hang around here for awhile! Thanks for the forum and the support it gives to so many!

Don Wood
Welcome, Gwen. Chemo is different for different people. As has been said, the more we know about what your mom is taking and what the reactions were, the better we can advise you. Hang in there. Don M
Hi Gigi and welcome. It sounds like you mom had an allergic reaction? The way I dealt with fatigue was to take long naps. Don M

blaze100
Hi Gwen, I am so sorry this has happened to your Mom. She just had lobectomy two months ago, and is she getting radiation on top of chemo too? How old is she? My formula was lots of afternoon naps and a thick creamy milkshake everyday. I pray your Mom is feeling better soon.
