missymommissy
The oncologist said the MRI of the brain showed 2 tiny spots. Not positive it is from the lung cancer, but most likely and too much of a risk to biopsy. So, she will have 10 radiation treatments before starting chemo. Not sure when she will have the port-a-cath put in since this came up. The surgeon said they wouldn't be able to put it in her chest because she is so thin. May put it in her arm. She is going to consult with another doctor. No results yet on the PET scan. She is in good spirits. She has fought cancer before. Had her left breast removed (radical procedure) due to cancer in 1968 followed by 6 weeks of cobalt (wonder if this caused the lung cancer). Melanoma on collar bone about 15 years ago and basal cell on her eyelid a year and a half ago.

Kasey
Rosemary, Mom certainly has had more than her share of 'stuff' to deal with, wouldn't you say??? Here's hoping she has the fight left within her to do battle once again. I'm hoping her plan is a good one and will kick some cancer a$$!!!!! Thinking of you both as you enter the arena once again!
