chesney Posted December 9, 2007 Share Posted December 9, 2007 Well the past 2 weeks have definitely been hard. Mom went into the hospital a few days after Thanksgiving with uncontrollable pain. They hooked her up to a Morphine pump and decided to keep her a few days until the pain was under control. While in the hospital they did an MRI to see what was causing so much pain and they discovered that the cancer has metasticized to her bones now. After about 8 days in the hospital they let her come home and now Hospice is at the house taking care of her. The pain is somewhat under control but still has episodes of extreme pain. She is now on oxygen 247 and rarely gets out of bed. I have been trying to prepare for the worst and plan for the best since Mom was diagnosed but just hearing the words "Hospice" put me in tears.
