Ann
Gotta have Rod Stewart. Did anyone see him on Idol last night? As I sat there listening to him sing Maggie Mae, I really took a trip back in time!!! He's still got it!!!
jaminkw
Ann, I love Rod Stewart. So sorry I missed it. Hate to admit it but don't watch Idol. Judy in Key West
Ann
Oh, Judy...we have to get you hooked on Idol. I didn't watch it for a few seasons but I have been hooked for four seasons now. There are parts, especially during the auditions, that get a little much to take sometimes but after the top 12 (it was top 13 this year) it really heats up! And yes....Rod Stewart was great! I have to admit that he does look older but the voice is still right on. I actually closed my eyes while he was singing just so I could travel back for a while! dahknee
I love Skynerd too but I don't think there are any original Skynerd members left unless Rossington is back with them. Such a shame, they were great. Don't forget Ringo is touring this year too. Donny
jaminkw
Maryanne, great list you have there but unfortunately I recognize all the "really old one(s)". Judy in Key West
Ann
Yes, I'm afraid I recognize those "old ones" also!!! Clapton....I could really get excited about seeing Eric Clapton in concert again after all these years.
Ellen in PA
Maryanne, the only one I both recognize and like from your first list is Pete Seeger. (I'm surprised he's not with the old ones -- he's 90!) Among your old ones, the only ones I know and like are Patti La Belle and Gladys Knight. I almost fell out of love with my then-hearthrob now-husband back in 1962 when I learned he liked Peter, Paul, and Mary. He still does and I still don't -- but we agree on most other things. Muriel
As you may know, we've had a lot of rain in Florida - especially along the east coast near Ann and Lynn. Do you think we should put Patti and Bruce back to work on the ark? It might be safer for the trip from CA to HI, too. Just an idea.
