  3. Yes, Larry. I am all too familar with this. If you remember, Dennis was a ham operator, N4IQZ. There have been times that I wanted a small clothesline in the back yard but the space was filled with an antenna...lol!
  4. I thought this might be fun to do. To Make Seed Tapes: Rip old newspaper into one inch long strips tearing from the top to the bottom of the page. Use only black & white sections since colored print can emit toxins into your soil. Make glue using 1/4-cup water to one-cup all-purpose flour. Dab each seed with the flour-water glue and stick them in the center of the strip. Be sure the seeds are spaced evenly apart--check the back of your seed packet for the recommended amount of space between each seed. When the glue is dry, roll up the strips and place in separate sealable plastic bags. To keep the seeds dry add one tablespoon of salt. It's also a good idea to place the seed packet into the respective seed bag. That way, in the spring, you'll know exactly how to plant them. Store in a cool place, such as a basement, until spring. When it's time to plant your seed tapes, lay each strip seed side up in rows several inches deep. Cover with soil and water. You'll have beautifully spaced plants at a fraction of the effort.
  5. Quick, choose a poster.... new or old, and say something nice about them. Don't write a book, don't be maudlin and too mooshy.. I'll go first.... Kasey is a really caring person.

    BUS TRIP!!

Iagree with Geri...yicky...but made me laugh!!!
  7. This is s good one for a crafter like me. I currently have 10 rooms (4 BR) and I have been saying that I waould like to have a basement so I could have a giant sized craft room. Naturally, this is only a dream, as Florida and basements aren't a workable combination. But, given the money, I would move back to Tennessee and build my dream home with a craft basement.
  8. My wife & I were sitting at a table at my High Schooll reunion & I kept staring at a drunken lady swigging her drink as she sat alone at a nerby table. My wife asks, "Do you know her?""Yes," I sighed, "She's my old girlfriend. I understand she took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago & I hear she hasn't been sober since.""My God!" says my wife, "Who would think anybody could celebrate that long?

    High Tech

THREE WOMEN, TWO YOUNGER, AND ONE SENIOR CITIZEN, WERE SITTING NAKED IN A SAUNA. SUDDENLY THERE WAS A BEEPING SOUND. THE YOUNG WOMAN PRESSED HER FOREARM AND THE BEEP STOPPED. THE OTHERS LOOKED AT HER QUESTIONINGLY. "THAT WAS MY PAGER," SHE SAID. I HAVE A MICROCHIP UNDER THE SKIN OF MY ARM. A FEW MINUTES LATER, A PHONE RANG. THE SECOND YOUNG WOMAN LIFTED HER PALM TO HER EAR. WHEN SHE FINISHED, SHE EXPLAINED, "THAT WAS MY MOBILE PHONE. I HAVE A MICROCHIP IN MY HAND." THE OLDER WOMAN FELT VERY LOW TECH. NOT TO BE OUT DONE, SHE DECIDED SHE HAD TO DO SOMETHING JUST AS IMPRESSIVE. SHE STEPPED OUT OF THE SAUNA AND WENT TO THE BATHROOM. SHE RETURNED WITH A PIECE OF TOILET PAPER HANGING FROM HER REAR END THE OTHERS RAISED THEIR EYEBROWS AND STARED AT HER. THE OLDER WOMAN FINALLY SAID......... WELL, WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT... I'M GETTING A FAX!!
  10. If you could have your dream home built, how many rooms would it have?

So very sorry. 50 is just so young. I hate this disease!!!
  12. Add me to this list of people that are thinking of Katie today and saying prayers.
  13. I'm been thinking of you, too. I know things are tough right now and I hope you're doing alright. Please let us know if there is anything we can do.
  14. If it's a place I know had good down home cooking, then I usually splurge (calorie wise) and order biscuits and gravy. Otherwise, I'm a two eggs (over easy), bacon, hash browns and wheat toast person!

  17. Thanks so much for sharing your Mom's story with us. I know your words will offer so much hope and inspiration for so many people.
  18. Mitchell, I am just now reading your post and I had to jump in and let you know how very proud I am of you! This is such a big step and it's something a lot of people just aren't strong enough to do. I think it's great that we'll be able to read your "journal" as you quit smoking. I know your words may be the exact ones that help someone else to quit. Be strong and know we are all pulling for you!!!
  19. If you are having breakfast out, what is your favorite thing to order from the menu?
  20. The Odd Couple......beneath the sheets.
  21. This game has gotten me into the giggles so many times. It's called: "Beneath the Sheets." You insert the name of a Movie or Television show at the beginning of the sentence. Have Fun!....I'll kick start it. Three Men and a Baby.......beneath the sheets.
  22. ((((((((((((((((Missy))))))))))))))))))) I don't have a lot of advice to send your way but I do want you to know that I'm so sorry you are having such a stressful time of it right now. Please know that I care and am sending lots of hugs, good thoughts and prayers your way!
  23. Nova, I'll be keeping you and your husband in my prayers. My husband had to have transfusions twice and both times, it made a remarkable difference in the way he felt.
  24. Good one, Larry. Of course, that could go both ways. I'm sure there are a lot of women that would like to get in on this.
