My Dad was 76 when diagnosed with NCLC. By then, he hadn't been smoking for 23 years so we were quite taken by surprise too. Anyhow, we're hoping this Augugst that he will be a 5 year survivor. So there is lots of hope even if you're not young.
Good luck to you and yours. Prayers a coming'for all of you.

I'm another one who is so glad that you had a good week and hope that you have many, many more to come. Couldn't think of anyone who deserves them more.
Thoughts and prayers continue for you.

Glad to hear that things went well for your mom today. I think a celebration when she is 'recovered' from chemo... is certainly in order. A mighty big one at that.

Many prayers being sent to all 3 of you. I hope these problems of your sons are resolved soon. It's so, so, so hard when it's your children who are sick. Been there, done that.
Keep us posted.

Prayers are on the way. I have 4 children, 3 of whom are in their 20's. I always worry about them and they will always be my "children." And by all means, go with him to the doctor's appts. It's so easy to miss important information when you're alone and scared.
Let us know how it goes.

Glad to hear all went well. About the waking up -- both my sister and I have had colonoscopies. I have had sleep problems for the longest time and she's the kind that can fall asleep anywhere. Wouldn't it figure that I woke up during the colonoscopy and she slept right through it??? Here's to a quick recovery for you!

I'm glad you've reached this point of acceptance. You sound really at peace with things. It's a good reminder to the rest of us to -- to enjoy today and those little things which really make up the "bulk" of what's important.
Sending continued prayers for you.

Yep, I concur with the others. I am so sorry to hear about Dave's pain and hope it's over real soon. Hopefully, next time, he'll given 'em the $20 and say it's more than worthwhile.'

I wish you nothing but the best. Maybe one day in the future, it will be "right" for you to come back. You'll be missed but we certainly understand.

Darn it, Fay. I was so disappointed for you last time and now this --- Does this mean that your platelets aren't where they should be?
Crossing my fingers that you get that operation soon.
