  1. Sounds like your dad is doing better than the doctors expected him too. For some, Tarceva seems to be a the magic bullet. I hope it is so in your father's case.

    And congratulations on your marriage.

    Prayers for the best.

I don't know what to say either and I can't begin to understand what you're feeling right now. You must be in such shock. I just can't imagine. But I do understand what it's like to have a great husband and several kids. I know when the shock wears off a bit, you will have that fight back in you.

For now, I can just send hugs and many prayers. I will keep the prayers coming.

  3. Of course, David will know where you are esp. since you'll be near your daughter and he'll be glad of that cause he'll want the best for you. And there is no one like one's children. Your grandson, Scotty, sounds precious. At such a young age, he seems to have so much empathy. Sounds like your daughter is doing a good job with him. I'm sure it's hard to leave all those memories behind but you'll have some wonderful new ones with your daughter and her family.

You've spent so much time supporting many of us here. Let us have a turn and support you for a change. It's mutual give and take here. So when you're up to posting, please do. And remember, it might be your time to vent and need support and that's perfectly okay. Many of us have been thinking about you and wondering what was going on.

    Sending prayers your way.

  5. Prom is an overwhelming time for a parent, isn't it? You just realize that they are not "kids" anymore and wonder where all the time went. She lookss wonderful!

I am lost for words. Just want to say that I am very saddened by your post and I hate what this disease has done to so many.

Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Let us know what decisions you make and let us help to support you in any way we can.

  7. Loved your post. Yes, you truly know what's important and have learned to live life to the fullest. Some people have extremely long lives and never reach this point.

Thanks for sharing and keep enjoying.

  8. Glad to hear that the Tarceva seems to be working. That's great news and also pleased tomorrow is Friday -- pleased for your hubby and myself. Sorry to hear about your son. I don't know much about pancreatitis but it doesn't sound pleasant. I hope he's home soon and on his way to a cure for it.
