  3. Beth is someone I met from another health board and her husband was just diagnosed with lung cancer. This other board does not offer very much information or support. I told Beth to come here where I know she can get answers to her questions and support. Haylee
  4. I may be wrong but think actor Jack Klugman also beat lung cancer. I seen a man on Oprah years ago who claimed to use positive thinking to beat his lung cancer and at the time was a 10 year survivor. Haylee
  5. It is good to hear stories of people who beat the cancer. I know people who won there battles. My grandmother had colon cancer in 1978 and beat it and passed of natural causes at 84 years old in 1989. My girl friends mother Patty was told she had 6 months to live and lived 7 years and passed unrelated to her cancer. I have my aunt Bonnie right now who has uterus and liver cancer and in Sept. will be 4 years. Cancer can be beat. Haylee
  6. Ginny, I am so sorry and my thoughts are with you. Haylee

  8. Mark, What a incredible story and it just sent chills down my spine. It is so wonderful your mother was able to see you get married. You have a wonderful wife and it is just awesome how family pulls together in a time of need. My mom was put in hospice in early Jan.03 on a Friday night the doctor told me to get my siblings in town quick. I am in Ohio had a sister in Vegas who had to get a plane a brother in South Carolina and a brother in another city in Ohio who had to drive. The doctor said she would be lucky to make it 24 more hours. To make a long story short my mom was not ready to go anywhere but home. With the help of my brother who is a nurse she came home on Tuesday and had what she called the best week ever getting to spend it with all of her kids together. She continued fighting and passed away on March 18th, 2003 I was her caregiver and she talked about that week with us all being together and telling stories of old times and laughing all the way until the day before she passed. It was a long night with alot of warnings and I am a big chicken and my husband and kids think I am nuttso for being so afraid of storms. Haylee

  20. My dad was a WWII veteran and my brother-n-law a vietnam veteran. My nephew Sam just joined the Army and will be leaving for training in August. God bless all who served and are serving. Haylee
  21. Dogs are great and can be such a comfort. I have three saint bernards and I was the care giver for my mom during her fight with lung cancer. My female saint Baylee who had never slept anywhere but in bed with me and my husband. She began sleeping at my moms side and when mom was put in hospice she would just lay in her bed and only get out of it to go potty. She to would lick her arm after mom had chemo. As everyone probably knows saint bernards are known for being gentle. Baylee was no exception a true gentle giant. That changed the day they came from hospice to take mom. Baylee became angry and almost attacked the medics. They know alot more and feel alot more than given credit sometimes. Haylee

  24. As a pet lover and owner of three saint bernards and spending my life working with animals. I hope that was sometime of trick in the video and that poor dog has not been treated in such a cruel way. Either way that video was done in very bad taste. Haylee
