mary colleen
We got my husband's PET/CT results today. Outside of the met in his brain, he is clear everywhere. We are very, very happy and relieved about these results. It is onward to surgery on Thursday, and hopefully to a permanent recovery. mary colleen
Thanks all - and I mean that sincerely. This has been my lifeline both at the time of original diagnosis, and again for this last several days. Odd - hearing that there was a brain tumor last Monday felt like the end of the world; then, the prospect of more mets seemed like the huge threat. Now that we know it's "just" a brain tumor, it feels very doable to us. If you had told me 10 days ago that I would be relieved that we are dealing with a brain tumor, I wouldn't have believed it. I guess this speaks to how quickly we all adapt to changing conditions, and everything truly IS relative. We really are born equipped to do what we need to do, I guess. I will update on Thursday night, and it will be good news. As always, I am rooting for every single person and family here every day, and have you all individually in my thoughts daily.
