We are also Scottish and have relatives called the McCardles and they owned a resort here and the banquet hall looked exactly the same... The name was the Maxwelton Braes. Maxwelton Braes are bonnie, And its there where Annie Lawrie, Gied me her promise true, Gied me her Promise true. Its a really haunting song,and I have known it all my life,but I know nothing about Annie Lawrie,must check it out on Google.Thanks for your post.
