In pain - can't sit at computer - very depressed - facing bronchoscopy but can't get referral even though it's supposed to be done asap. Dealing with a family that just can't get it through their heads that I'm sick and that I can no longer help them - I can't take care of their problems anymore - I can't. I'm just scared and depressed and ashamed that I'm not stronger.

Cat, shame on you for feeling ashamed. If you help your family, (and I'm guessing you have been the rock of your family) half as much as you help others here, then SHAME on you for feeling ashamed. You have NOTHING to be ashamed of! I sure hope your pain can be treated real soon. I do remember what it's like being in unGODLY pain! It SUCKS!

Wish there was some magic in the air to help with your depression. This to shall pass!

Have you tried the ER for pain control - at least to get a jump on it?
