  1. (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Amie)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) I know those feelings. It just feels like all of life has been sucked right out of you and you just can't seem to breath in that needed bit of air. Although thee are times that I still have that same feeling, I can tell you that time helps you to breathe easier. Losing someone you love just seems to put life and living in an entirely different perspective and I think it forever changes who we are and how we think. I know how much you love Suki and you must be in so much pain without her in your life. Your words always made us understand what a great mom she was and your love for her always came shining through. Just remember she will always be right beside you and will be helping you to take that next breath!!! Now that you're a mom, I'm sure you understand that some bonds, like motherhood, never cease to exist!!! Saying prayers for you......

  8. The Nursing Home At the Nursing Home a man took his elderly father to a nursing home to check it out. He sat his father down on a sofa in the main aisle way and went to talk with the administrators. The old man started to tilt slowly toward the left. A Doctor came by and said, "Let me help you." The Doctor piled several pillows on the left side of the old man so he would stay upright. The older man started to tilt slowly to the right. An orderly noticed and put several more pillows on his right side to keep him upright. The old man started to lean forward when a nurse came by and piled several pillows in front of him. About this time, the son returned. "Well, Dad, isn't this a nice place." The old man replied, "I guess it's ok, but they won't let me fart."

    Tuesday's Air

Guess what??? It rained here yesterday afternoon and it rained all night long and it just stopped raining!!! Wow...we actually have puddles! Tanner Dog is in shock. Every time he goes out, we have to go out and practically drag him in . He looks so happy as he frolicks around in the rain. It's still very cloudy and the weather forecasters say we should have rain all week. My grass is happy dancing, along with me! Our American Legion Rider group is building a float for our little Memorial Day parade, here in Melbourne. I think it's going to quite a task to get this done by Monday, especially with the rain. But...none of us are complaining. I'm so looking forward to having a three day weekend coming up. Since the parade is on Monday, our Post is having a day full of activities following. There won't be much rest but remembering our veterans makes for a very important day. This week will be a breeze compared to next week. On Friday, May 29th, our Legion Riders are serving an ALL-You-Can-Eat Fried Chicken dinner at out Post. I'm cooking the chicken, using my grandmothers recipe. She was born and raised in the hills of Tennessee and was an excellent down home cook. We're also having red beans & rice, mashed potatoes w/gravy, corn on the cob, coleslaw, rolls and tons of pies and cake!!! All for $7.00....anyone want to come to Melbourne???? Hope everyone finds peace today in their little corner of the world.
  18. Yes, Judy. I can do a fly-in to get this show on the road. Do you, Lynn and Muriel want to fly up with me???

    Why We Are Here....

Do we come here to tell others to how to live their lives? No Do we judge the depth of love others have? No We come here to ask questions and find what answer there may be We come here in the midst our despair for understanding We come here to know we are not alone in our struggles We come here to give the answers we used to the ones coming behind us We arrive tired and confused and full of small doubts We sign off feeling we are understood and We are together in this battle, Wherever we may live, However far down the road we have gotten We leave this place better than we came
