  1. used to work wonder for my senior parents when they got sick...
  2. that summed it up quite well I think. the hardest thing we ever want or have to do is make those calls and then live with the results.. be assured that when the three of you have the talk as to what to doo and you all should do it since you are the primary healthcare proxies it has to be agreed upon. Don't ever look back and wonder though. whatever your hearts tell you is the right thing to do... Hugs, thoughts and prayers to you!!
  3. we understand what your going through. a lot of us have walked the same path before!! the fear and the trepidation subsides when the answers start to come in and the treatment starts.. then your minds go, "Ok now it is fight time, time to kick butt and take names" right now being scared is the normal thing for most people in this stage. my advice is take a lok at the good news forum and the Inspirational forums to ease your mind. the good news will show you the success stories here at LCSC!!! the Inspirational forum will give you some stability and comfort for now . please keep us posted as the answers start to come in. Oh and if you get the, "Your Mom has this much time left speech" dont read into it. most here have beaten that one many times over and we don't really put a lot of belief into that statement... It is just a scare thing we think...
  4. I think Deb only had the rash also... Congrats on the 5 year.. try Wonton soup to help with the cold from a local Chinese restaurant.. Get well soon and thank you for popping in today ...

Hang in there and keep posting up we look forward tor getting to know and help you out...

  10. Deb was my Christmas fan... even had 2 trees to decorate...
  11. Merry Christmas!!!!!! I want to wish each and every one of my dearest friends here a very very merry Christmas. I know we are spending time with our families and loved ones today and reflecting on a lot of things. It is cold and dreary outside and kinda fits the meed for some of us . always warm and cheery and bright on the outside but deep inside cold and dreary. I know a lot of us are missing some friends and family today. we put on our happy warm bright cheery faces for the ones we have and down inside we have the other side for the ones not with us... I am one of those people as most of ya know... Takle some time to think and honor the ones not with us physically and remember that some day we will be together with them one day. Have and think happy thoughts not the bad thoughts and memories of days gone by. sometimes it is hard to remember the good and easy to remember the bad scary life ending thoughts... keep it on the plus side though... Me, going to the cemetery to place flowers on2 graves about 30 feet from each other and saying some prayers for 3 lost souls at the same time.. going to be a great day anyhow and hope yours is as well.... and working to get moms house in order for Happy Christmas number 2 when sis and family cone down end of the week...
  12. Just remember the old Escape when you need to escape... and a little fresh air under the stars....
  13. be yourself enjoy the time.. remember yesterday, cherish today and pray for tomorrow...
  14. enjoy the time spent with your mom.. it is hard to kinda get used to being in the situation she is in. it takes a toll on the body and the mind of everyone around the patient and the family and friends ..
  15. first and foremost get in touch with Social workers.. they are there to help with these matters.
  16. I have ben around since 2005 roughly.. It is hard but vent away there is always someone here to answer and read and help out...

  18. good luck.. and always goods to be safe about plans...
  19. art, photography, scrapbooking ,maybe! sometimes it is the cancer talking and the fear so glad his mom is not taking it personally..
  20. does your dad have any hobbies or anything like that we might want to pursue? My wife actually went to school and took Art classes so she could paint while at home.. she did what she wanted to do and did not let cancer dictate her life or sit home and think too much about it..
