I made the mistake and read my chart of my first pet scan. For six months I thought I had a 6 cm tumor on chest wall . Didn't exist. Fingers crossed you get excellent news

Lonnie I was diagnosed stage 4 about 20 months ago, was devastated. First thing on my mind when I wake up every morning was I have cancer. I needed support so I joined this group it really helped me. Lonnie when you get a treatment plan you will feel better. My treatment is targeted therapy I take 8 pills per day .After 5 1/2 months taking this drug I'm NED (no evidence of disease) .Cancer treatment these days are much better. Try posting on introduce yourself forum you'll get more responces from other people. Hang in there and keep us posted Chuck

Hi Rosie I think of love ones and friends that didn't have the opportunity of these new treatments. I am so lucky my cancer was found by a new hire physical when I changed jobs. I was stage 4 now no cancer is lighting up on pet scan. So hold your daughter close and know that you will beat this. Hope is real Chuck

Suzyq Wow looks like you've been through a lot of bumps in the road. Hopefully the keytruda gets you on track .Antidepressants do work just have to find out which one works for you. Looking forward to future posts from you.

Hi June I was in your shoes about ten months ago my Oncologist told me I was stage 4. Depression and anxiety was consuming me couldn't talk about the cancer without tearing up. I did meet with a therapist a few times but what helps me most is checking out this group daily. Family and friends are there for us but communicating with other people fighting this disease helps me move forward. Stay with us Chuck

Hi there and welcome I was diagnosed stage 4 NSCLC adenocarcinoma about 9 months ago.I did one round of chemo while waiting on the biomarker test. It came back positive for ALK mutation. I've been on targeted therapy Alectinib for about 6.5 months now. Had a pet scan about 4 weeks ago and no cancer is lighting up.Good luck on your treatment please keep us updated Take care Chuck
